I am among the amateur artists who just do it for fun. I started gaining interest in making art as I approached my retirement. Moving to Chilliwack in 2009 has provided the ideal time to explore my ability to draw and paint. I learn locally from several talented artists giving classes and workshops in drawing, charcoal, pastels, watercolour, acrylic, and multimedia. I enjoy discovering the styles and choices of expression pertaining to other artists. In the process, I have become aware of my need to discover my own style of expression. Making art has become a personal journey.
I was born and raised in St-Lambert, Quebec. I spent 33 years of my adult life in Brossard, Quebec before moving to Chilliwack. Although I worked full time, while raising my family; I always managed to keep a little time for gardening. Eventually I had my little green house and my herbal garden. I transformed my herbs into related hobbies: dried flowers arrangements, making cards with pressed flowers, making teas, body lotions, and my own soaps. Happy with what I had managed to learn and create form my herbal garden, I turned my interest to glass mosaics and painting.
