How To Submit 

Next Show dates: July 30  – August 30, 2025

Submission Form sent by email, or can be found after signing in.

WHEN TO BRING YOUR WORK 

Tuesday before show Starts at 10:00 am (not before 10 am please).

Make sure your work can be hung according to the ‘Hanging Requirements

On the day that you bring your work to the gallery, please pick dates for gallery-sitting shifts.

Please spread the word amongst family, friends, your social media and invite them to the show & opening!

WHAT CAN YOU BRING

Maximum of 2 main works for the gallery wall/floor.
When labelling your work number them 1 and 2.

Maximum of 2 pieces for the Pay and Take,
Each piece less than 12″ x 12″ (this includes the frame).
Please number these works as well: 1 & 2

Submission Form for Pay & Take Away Projects.

For use by members only
Open to artists who have submitted a piece in the current Exhibit.

Maximum of 3 pieces.

The Pay and Take works will hang together in one of the corners of the Gallery.
Maximum size for each work is 12”.
When a Pay & Take work is sold, the purchaser can take it home and doesn’t need to wait until the end of the show.


1. All submitted artwork will be juried. The Selection Committee’s decision is final.
2. All sales are handled through the Cultural Centre box office who will pass on to the members the sale price less a 5% commission. (of which 5% is retained to cover Box Office operating costs).
3. The artist is responsible for remitting any sales taxes that may be applicable.
4. The Art Committee will only display accepted and ready to be hung art work, preference will be given to pieces which adheres to the theme, and will have full discretion as to its placement .
5. INSURANCE IS THE FULL RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ARTIST. Utmost care will be taken BUT, be aware that the Venue Owners/Managers and/or the Chilliwack Visual Artists Association assumes no responsibility for loss or damage.
6. All work must be the artist’s own original creation, giclee prints are allowed.
7. Up to three pieces may be submitted. The larger side of each piece should be less than 16

 Greeting Cards, Post Cards, Sticker, and Poster Submission are open.
Each item must be numbered
Artists must bring an Inventory and duplicate for box office

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO DELIVER YOUR WORK IN PERSON,
you must make arrangements that someone else brings your work before 10 am.
The box office will not be accepting work.

HOW TO SUBMIT

You should have receive an email, with a request to submit your work using a form. If you have not received an email (check your spam box).
The form can also be found by signing in and clicking “Member Art Submissions” in the Members tab

No late submissions, as all labels will be printed in one batch.

WHEN TO PICK UP YOUR WORK

Monday at 9:30 am after show ends.

If your work is sold the purchaser should have the date of pick-up written on the receipt. If the work is not picked up, the Exec. Will contact you the artist, to let you know. You can then contact the purchaser privately for pick-up.

ON THE DAY OF SET UP(Tuesday before show Starts)

  1. Check at the check-in table in the gallery to check if your works are on the list. A member will check your work if it is suitable for hanging (re hardware)
  2. Go to the calendar and sign up for a gallery sitting shift during the show.
  3. After submitting your work, please leave the gallery unless you are helping hang the show.

The jurying committee will then look at all the work with the following criteria guiding them:
– Is the work ready to hang regarding the hardware and the frame?
Artwork unready to hang, might be rejected from the show. 

Depending on the number and size of works submitted, the jury will decide how to best to hang the show as a comprehensive exhibit. Thus, not all works submitted are guaranteed to be displayed.

If a work is not included in the exhibit, the member will be contacted to collect their work.
