Project Description

Evelyn Zuberbier

Evelyn was born in Red Deer, Alberta, and grew up on her parents’ Beaver Flat Ranch near Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. She discovered her artistic talent at the age of 12 years.

Evelyn paints whatever excites her and her paintings represent her love of nature. She paints in watercolours, acrylics, oils, and pen and ink.

Her works are found throughout the world in private collections.

The highlight of Evelyn’s life was the appointment by the Minister of Culture to the board of the Alberta Art Foundation, serving a three-year term. Her work has traveled with the ‘Hands Across the Pacific Cultural Exchange, touring in the Orient for eight tours.

Evelyn is an Active Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists,as well as an honorary member of the Chilliwack Visual Artists Association. Her shows have successfully been sellouts.

The country life has always played an important part in her paintings and she hopes the viewer can feel some of the excitement she felt when exploring and creating the work. That in itself would be an accomplishment for her.

Evelyn resides and paints in Chilliwack, British Columbia.
