Project Description

BC born, Anna has a creative spirit which is showcased by her paintings, portraits and sketches. Anna is primarily self-taught and enjoys capturing everyday moments while highlighting nature, political statements, and the everyday lives of people she observes.

She enjoys working in acrylics, chalk pastels (like Degas used), charcoal, inks, and graphite. Today her muse is her active family, exploring identity in art, understanding diaspora, researching the legacy of colonialism, and wandering in nature.

Anna’s work is housed in mainly private collections. While she has a busy career as a lawyer, wife, mother, community volunteer, and artist, she always finds to time to create art.
