Stanislava Smiešková
Stanislava grew up in the Slovakian mountains, where her grandmother inspired her with a passion for nature and painting. Stanislava has spent many years painting and sculpting in her local community in Liptovsky Mikuláš, where she showed her work in exhibitions each year. She has spent much of her life kayaking on the rivers of Europe, and she passed on her love of the outdoors to her two sons. Stanislava now calls Chilliwack, BC home where she continues to paddle and hike and enjoy the beauty that nature has to offer.
Stanislava paints and draws in a variety of mediums: oil, acrylic, watercolour, pencil, and pastel. She likes to capture the details in every scene and to use light to its full effect. She sculpts in wood and enjoys making statues in Paverpol.
